The Salt Lake (Tuz Gölü) is located on the borders of Ankara, Konya and Aksaray provinces and covers an area of 1,300 km2 and Tuz Gölü Basin covers an area of 20,000 km2. The Salt Lake (Tuz Gölü) is one of the few places in the world in terms of biological diversity values. The Salt Lake (Tuz Gölü), which is an Important Plant Area, Important Bird Area, 1st Degree Natural Protected Area and Special Environmental Protection, is also a wetland area of international importance according to Ramsar Criteria (*).
